الان لكل عشاق المصدر المفتوح هل واجهت صعوبة فى ان تجعل اولادك يتعاملون مع نظام تشغيلك وتجدهم دائما يفضلون استخدام الويندوز, لم تعد لديك مشكلة الان فقد قام مطورون شباب من محبى المصادر المفتوحة بانتاج توزيعة جديدة من نظام تشغيل لينوكس مخصصة لاستخدام الاطفال صغار السن وتتميز التوزيعة الجديدة التى تم بنائها اعتمادا على توزيعة UBUNTU بواجهتها الرسومية الجميلة والتى تحمل شعار جديد هذه المرة بدلا من طائر البطريق المعهود فهى تحمل شعار رجل الجليد يحمل حربته ويشير بيده للأطفال بينما هو عالق وسط بحيرة من الجليد المتجمد.

الحد الادنى لمواصفات الجهاز الذي تعمل عليه نسخة qimo4kids هو معالج بقدرة 400Mhz و ذاكرة 256MB ومساحة خالية على القرص الصلب 6 جيجا بايت وتاتى النسخة كالمعتاد مع امكانية تشغيلها من اسطوانة خارجية بدون الحاجة الى تنصيبها على جهاز الكمبيوتر كما هو موجود فى توزيعة UBUNTU التى كنت استخدمها بهذه الطريقة للاستخدامات الطارئة ( كإزالة فيروسات EXE الكئيبة)

ما اجده مميز هذه المرة فى هذه التوزيعة انها صممت خصيصا لارضاء اطفالك بغض النظر عن اداء اى اعمال اخرى عليها فهة تتميز بأيقونات كبيرة الحجم وسهولة تصفح غير عادية كما ان اغلب الالعاب بها للاطفال ويمكن تشغيلها مباشرة من سطح المكتب.

In order to try Qimo, you will have to burn the ISO file to a CD-R/CD-RW as a CD Image, not as a regular file. Some CD burning software can do this, othes can’t. If yours doesn’t have an option to treat the file as an image, you can get a free program herethat will.Once you have the CD created, just leave it in your CD drive and reboot your computer. When Qimo first boots, it gives you the option to try it from the CD, or install it to your computer. Trying it from the CD means that nothing on your computer will be changed, you can reboot without the CD and everything on your computer will be exactly as it was before. This is the easiest way to try Qimo, though it will run a bit slower this way.

Be Careful: Qimo isn’t like the programs you can install on Windows! Installing Qimo means you are putting a totally new operating system on your computer, and it may cause problems (or totally replace) your installation of Microsoft Windows.
